Webinar replay: Leveraging tech startup power to solve maritime risk challenges
18/10/2022At Safetytech Accelerator we’re excited about the possibilities of new technologies to tackle major challenges in the maritime sector. That is why we established Waypoint – our programme to accelerate cutting edge technology companies into the maritime market.
Waypoint 3: Maritime Risk is the third iteration of this programme, which was set up to work with three technology companies focused on tackling major challenges in maritime risk. It supports them through expert mentoring and carefully selected introductions to strengthen their foothold in maritime.
Our expert maritime mentors in return had opportunities to meet with innovative entrepreneurs, get visibility of the cutting edge of innovation and technology, play key roles in refining solutions and opportunities to host pilots.
Recently we held a webinar which showcased the Waypoint 3 cohort. Here’s a recording where we hear from this group of technology companies, how they developed their solutions, and from one of our pilot hosts who will discuss industry maritime risk challenges in more detail, and the challenges of adopting new technologies.
In this webinar we also launched our Waypoint 4 programme, giving details of the theme and information about the application process.
The discussion was hosted by Gabriele Dadò, Commercial Director at Safetytech Accelerator.
Nadia Echchihab, our Head of Innovation Programmes, gave details about Waypoint in general, and about Waypoint 4: Nearshore and how to take part.
